What Trados is
Trados is a commodity trading platform that connects verified buyers, sellers and brokers through AI-powered document verification and structured deal workflows — from Letter of Intent through to delivery.
Wave Function Trading holds Gold Verified status on the network and operates its own branded instance of the platform at wave.trados.app. Every Letter of Intent that reaches us is cryptographically certified, time-stamped and traceable, and every counterparty is checked against the registry before a deal opens.
Manual review takes days. On Trados it takes minutes — which means our buyers get a real answer while the cargo is still available, and neither side carries the document-fraud risk that costs this industry an estimated $1.2 billion a year.
It also means you are not asked to take our word for anything. The registry entry, the verification tier and the deal record all exist outside this website.
Why we run every deal through it
Sugar is the most impersonated commodity in the market: forged allocation letters, recycled proof-of-product, mills that do not exist, and intermediaries selling cargo they have never held. Most of that fraud is caught — or missed — at the LOI stage. Running the deal on a platform moves that check to the front.
The documents are checked
The LOI and supporting paperwork are auto-verified for tampering, fake formats and red flags before anyone spends a week on a call schedule.
The counterparty is checked
Both sides are registered and verified against the Trados registry. A company that will not register is a company that will not be checked.
The money is checked
The payment instrument — SBLC, DLC, MT-103 or escrow — is verified for issuing bank and format before allocation.
The milestones are tracked
BL, SGS, COA and COO are tracked as documentation milestones, so both sides see exactly where the deal stands.
Nothing depends on trust alone
Photos and videos follow contract execution rather than precede it — that is how refineries protect against fraud, and how we protect our buyers.

LOI / Soft Offer
Buyer submits a Letter of Intent or Soft Offer — Trados auto-verifies the document for tampering, fake formats and red flags.
Final SPA
Final Sales and Purchase Agreement signed by both parties — a legally binding contract.
NDA
Both parties sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement so sensitive details — volumes, pricing, source — stay protected.
Payment Instrument
Buyer issues the payment instrument (SBLC / DLC / MT-103 / escrow). Trados verifies issuing bank and format.
ICPO
Buyer issues an Irrevocable Corporate Purchase Order — the formal commitment to buy at agreed terms.
Delivery
Cargo is shipped per Incoterm. Trados tracks documentation milestones (BL, SGS, COA, COO).
POP
Seller provides Proof of Product — cargo allocation, photos, mill or refinery certificates. Verified before moving forward.
Delivery & Closing
Buyer confirms receipt and quality. Final delivery and closing documentation exchanged.
Draft SPA
Trados generates the Draft Sales and Purchase Agreement based on agreed terms. Both sides review.
Closing
Funds released to seller. Deal closed on Trados — both sides earn verified-deal credit toward higher tiers.
